Privacy Policy
Effective date: November 7, 2026
The short version
Verabatch (“we”, “us”) is run by Verabatch LLC, an Indiana limited liability company. This policy covers verabatch.com and the app at app.verabatch.com.
- We collect what you give us to run your account: your email, your business details, and the recipes, batches, supplies and labels you create.
- Your recipes are yours. We don’t sell them, share them, use them to train AI, or look at them except to help you when you ask, or when the law requires it.
- We don’t sell or rent anyone’s personal information, and we don’t show ads.
- A few trusted companies help us run Verabatch (hosting, database, email). They only handle your data to provide their service to us.
- You can download your data at any time, and ask us to delete your account.
What we collect
- Account: email address, password (stored scrambled, never readable by us), sign-in codes and plan. If you use Continue with Google, the name and email address on your Google account. From you, or from Google if you sign in with it.
- Business details: shop name, city and state, contact details for your label, logos. From you.
- Your work: recipes and amounts, variations, sizes and containers, label choices, claims, warnings, batches and lot numbers, supplier lots, product sheets. From you.
- Canva connection: a sign-in token that lets us send your label to your own Canva account. We never see your Canva password or your other designs. From Canva, when you connect.
- Waitlist: your name, email address and your answers (what you make, how many products, where you sell, what matters most to you). From you, on verabatch.com.
- Messages: what you write when you email us for help. From you.
- Technical: IP address, browser type, pages requested, error logs, sign-in times. From your browser, automatically.
We don’t collect payment card numbers. When paid plans start, payments go through a payment company and we only see the result (for example, that your plan is active).
How we use it
- To run Verabatch for you: sign you in, save your work, build your labels, batch records and product sheets, and send a label to Canva when you click Open in Canva.
- To email you about your account: sign-in codes, password resets, and important notices about the service or these policies.
- To email the waitlist about early access, and later about new features. Every one of these emails has an unsubscribe link.
- To pick early testers from the waitlist, and to skip setup questions you’ve already answered.
- To keep Verabatch safe and working: stop abuse and spam, fix errors, and enforce our Terms. We also count how often features are used (especially new “beta” features) to decide what to improve, keep and charge for. These counts stay inside Verabatch and are never shared with ad or tracking companies.
- To meet legal obligations.
About your recipes. Your formulas are often a trade secret, so we treat them that way. Only you and the people you add to your business can see them. We look at your work only when you ask for help, to fix a problem with your account, or when the law requires it. We don’t sell your recipes, share them with other makers or suppliers, publish them, or use them to train AI models. If we ever want to use combined, anonymous statistics (for example, “most popular container size”), no recipe, business or person will be identifiable.
Who helps us run Verabatch
These companies handle data only to provide their service to us, under their own privacy and security commitments. Our database and the app run on servers in the United States.
- Supabase: database, sign-in and file storage. Handles your account, business details, work and logos.
- Vercel: runs the app. Handles technical data and error logs.
- Resend: sends our emails. Handles your name, email address and email content.
- Canva: opens your label for editing, only if you connect it. Handles the label file you send and your Canva sign-in token.
- Google: lets you sign in with your Google account, only if you choose to. Handles your name and email address during sign-in.
- Google Fonts: delivers the app’s typefaces. Handles your IP address and browser type.
- Bluehost: hosts verabatch.com. Handles technical data when you visit the website.
- Payment company (later): takes payments for paid plans. Handles billing details; we never see full card numbers.
We also share information when the law requires it (for example, a valid court order), to protect people’s safety or our rights, or if Verabatch is sold or merged. In a sale, this policy would still apply to your data, and we’d tell you first.
We never sell your personal information, share it for advertising, or give your recipes to anyone.
Cookies
The app uses only the cookies it needs to keep you signed in and to finish signing in with Google or connecting Canva safely. We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies, and we don’t use analytics tools that follow you around the web. If we add privacy-friendly analytics later, we’ll update this policy first. The verabatch.com website may use the basic cookies its WordPress host sets.
Emails
Account emails (sign-in codes, password resets, important service notices) are part of using Verabatch and can’t be turned off while your account is open. Waitlist and news emails always include an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect right away.
How long we keep it
- Your account and work: for as long as your account is open.
- After you delete your account: removed from the live database within 30 days. Copies in backups are overwritten on their normal schedule, within 90 days.
- Waitlist: until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove you, or until early access opens and you choose not to join.
- Technical logs: kept for a short time by our hosting providers, usually days or weeks.
- What the law requires us to keep (for example, billing records once paid plans start) is kept for the required period.
Downloading and deleting your data
- Download: your product library, every recipe, and each product sheet can be downloaded at any time as a spreadsheet (CSV) or PDF.
- Delete: email hello@verabatch.com from your account’s email address and we’ll delete your account and everything in it. Deleting is permanent.
- Disconnect Canva: remove Verabatch from the connected apps in your Canva settings at any time. Designs already in your Canva stay yours.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- show you the personal information we have about you, or send you a copy;
- correct it;
- delete it;
- stop sending you waitlist or news emails.
Some states, including California, Virginia, Colorado, Texas and Indiana, give residents these rights by law. We offer them to everyone. Email hello@verabatch.com; we’ll confirm it’s you and answer within 30 days. We won’t treat you differently for asking. We don’t sell or share personal information for advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of there.
Security
Data is encrypted while it travels and while it’s stored. Each business’s records are walled off at the database level, so only that business’s own members can reach them. The accounts that run Verabatch use two-step sign-in. No system is perfectly secure, so use a strong password and keep your sign-in codes to yourself. If a breach ever affects your information, we’ll tell you promptly and as the law requires.
Children
Verabatch is a business tool for adults. It isn’t meant for anyone under 18, and we don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you think a child has given us information, email us and we’ll delete it.
Where Verabatch works
Verabatch is built for makers selling in the United States, and your information is stored and handled in the United States.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top. For important changes, we’ll also email account holders before they take effect.
